Kjell Wätjen: This is why the Gevelsberger is missing BVB in Bruges
Kjell Wätjen did not make the trip to FC Bruges with Borussia Dortmund.
The youngster's absence from the squad has nothing to do with sporting reasons, as BVB coach Edin Terzić revealed at the press conference on Tuesday.
Wätjen is missing from the squad due to a sore throat.
"I hope that he will be back in training in the next few days," said Terzić.
Wätjen has been in good form for BVB's U19s this season.
The 19-year-old has scored four goals and provided three assists in nine appearances in the U19 Bundesliga.
He also made his debut for the BVB first team in the DFB-Pokal match against Viktoria Köln in August.
BVB will be hoping to get Wätjen back fit as soon as possible.
The Black and Yellows have a busy schedule in the coming weeks, with games against Bayern Munich, Manchester City and RB Leipzig in the coming weeks.
Wätjen will be hoping to force his way into Terzić's plans and make his Bundesliga debut soon.
